Hairui Yang

Hairui Yang is Professor in Department of Energy and Power Engineering, Tsinghua University, China. Hairui Yang received his doctoral degree in 2003 and was appointed as Associate Professor in 2006, Professor in 2013.
Hairui Yang mainly focuses on the researches in circulating fluidize bed (CFB) clean coal technology, gas solid fluidization states in CFB reactor, coal fired pollutant control and utilization of waste water and waste ash, Energy storage, etc. He has been the project leader of several international projects from EDF (France), Alstom( USA), IHI (Japan) VTT(Finland) and B&W (USA), which cover the fundamental research and industrial application in CFB boiler. He is the vice representative for China in IEA FBC-TCP. Hairui Yang has given lectures at many institutes around the world and he has an extensive international network in the field of CFB combustion, fluidization and emission control.
Hairui Yang has published more than 200 papers in peer reviewed journals and international conference proceedings, won Award for best paper in 23rd International Conference on Fluidized Bed Conversion, 2018 and 13rd International Conference on Circulation Fluidized Bed, 2021. He won the Second Class Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award 2005 and the First Class Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award 2017.
